Responsabilités

As a Field Service Engineer (FSE), you will provide technical service and support for Bruker Spatial Biology equipment in compliance with company, ISO, FDA, and budgetary guidelines. Your primary objective is to minimize customer downtime while creating revenue opportunities and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

  • Perform new equipment installations, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs, ensuring all activities are documented according to Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers—both in person and electronically—to build confidence in your expertise and the capabilities of Bruker Spatial Biology teams.
  • Provide detailed feedback to internal teams to identify failure points and contribute to system reliability improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Field Applications team to maximize equipment uptime and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support Quality process improvement initiatives within Bruker Spatial Biology.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards during service activities.

 

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree with 3–5 years of relevant field service experience; ideally 1–5 years in FSE instrument repair and field work.
  • Hands-on field service experience, preferably in biotech, life sciences, or robotics. This includes working on systems in customer laboratories while observing proper biohazard safety precautions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in:
  • General electronics and electromechanical systems
  • Robotics and liquid handling systems
  • Computers and associated networking components
  • Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy 
  • General knowledge of genetic analysis techniques (DNA microarrays, gene expression analysis, NGS/WGS, and quantitative PC
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage customer expectations and deliver outstanding service.
  • Working knowledge of technical support activities aimed at achieving a world-class customer experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate scientific data effectively (oral and written), meet deadlines, and represent Bruker Spatial Biology professionally in the field.
  • General understanding of IT and basic networking setup.
  • Willingness and availability to travel extensively (overnight travel up to 50–75% per month). Must possess a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 80–100 lbs occasionally.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English (min. C1 Level); any other language will be an advantage.
