For our Bruker AXS location in Karlsruhe, we are looking for R&D Software Entwickler (m/w/d). 

Responsabilités

  • R&D position
  • Software architecture and development for image data processing integrated in a professional data flow environment
  • Finding solutions for handling massive data amounts
  • Interfacing electron microscopy data acquisition software with local and cloud data servers
  • Supervising software testing
  • Leading a software team in future as the project grows
  • Systematic planning of work and reporting of results
  • Fosters close collaboration with product management

Qualifications

  • Preferably Master’s in information science or comparable, PhD is a pro
  • Broad knowledge of image processing, cloud computing, data flow
  • Preferably experience with electron microscopy data processing including ptychography, 3D reconstruction
  • Fluent in C++, and python
  • Experience with at least one of the Python/C++ interfaces: PyBind11, Numba, Cython, Boost, and also HDF5 format
  • Experience with development of workflows for large-scale scientific data processing
  • Demonstrated merit in scientific research evident from first author papers
  • Interest in product development
  • Project leading and team leading skills 
  • Excellent communication skills in a multinational team
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
