For our office in Ettlingen we are searching for a NMR Support Specialist (m/f/d).

 

This position in the Bruker BioSpin Global NMR Expert Team focuses on service-related contributions to new product developments, and the entire internal support portfolio during the product’s lifetime. Timely and highly qualified support of service personnel using a professional tool set is of equal importance. Solution oriented and active exchange with stakeholders as from local service, R&D and product management is the basis for successful engagement. Responsible for Service-related tasks associated with Bruker-TopSpin Software (and associated products), licensing and related framework (i.e., hardware interaction and operating systems).

Responsabilités

Responsibilities in Product Introduction

  • Active participation in Product Lifecycle Management projects i.e., define and defend the service requirements, ensure that deliverables assigned to the Service Division are provided
  • Support R&D to develop, review, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including service manuals/ instructions
  • Develop service procedures and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure service efficiency
  • Create training content for Field Service Engineers and service partners/ third parties within a Learning Management System
  • Support in evaluating optimal service delivery concepts including regional service operations as well as third party agent solutions

Responsibilities in Product Maintenance

  • Maintain service procedures, troubleshooting guides to ensure that engineering changes are reflected
  • Develop technical bulletins, e.g. Service Information (SI) or Knowledgebase articles
  • Report new or recurring problems to R&D, Quality and Product Management, participate in CAPA teams as required
  • Deliver and update technical trainings to BBIO SLS Field Service Engineers and service partners within an LMS
  • Run and develop a training facility based in Ettlingen in coordination with other stakeholders

Responsibilities in Operative 2nd Level Support

  • Operate a global 2nd Level Support hotline for Bruker service engineers and track cases in a CRM system with focus on TopSpin software products and its hardware interactions
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of technical issues reported by Field Service Engineers, utilizing a systematic approach to identify root causes and identify solutions to restore performance efficiently
  • Collaborate closely with first level service engineers to escalate critical issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction. In emergencies and if not solvable otherwise, intervene remotely or on-site for selected escalations
  • Assist in dispatching support tasks received at the 2nd Level Support interface

Qualifications

  • Diplom/ Master's degree in science or engineering. PhD is an asset.
  • Minimum three years work experience with NMR analytical instruments and TopSpin software.
  • Profound knowledge of modern Windows and Linux operating systems. Work experience with IT administration is an asset.
  • Experience with lab management
  • Experience with programming projects is an asset.
  • Fluency in English and German is obligatory
  • MS Office (expert)
